Fantasy College Hoops: Sunday - Week 17

Kentucky's frontcourt duo packed a punch against Florida for Tom Selleck's doppelgänger. Anthony Davis (22pts, 12reb, 6blk) and Terrence Jones (19pts, 4reb, 1ast, 3blk, 2stl) each went 9-for-13 from the floor, helping the #1 Wildcats cap an undefeated SEC slate. Tom Selleck's doppelgänger could've buried his head in the sand after missing out on the finals. But his starting lineup, led by three freshmen, played their best ball during the postseason. It will be interesting to see if this rookie owner can carry some momentum into year two of the Tom Selleck's doppelgänger regime next season.

Talk about clutch... #11 Ohio State's lone senior William Buford (25pts, 3reb, 1ast, 1blk, 3stl) broke a 70-70 tie after a swish from top of the key with one second left. Buford's jumper ruined #5 Michigan State's Senior Day and gave the Buckeyes a share of the Big Ten regular season title. Aside from North Carolina's John Henson, Buford was the lone bright spot on Gordon Bombay's roster this season. It was a disappointing 8th place finish for the veteran owner. This franchise will need to regroup in the offseason and see if he can rekindle some Gordon Bombay magic next year.

Here is the final scoreboard for Week 17, as well as the playoff bracket and consolation bracket.

Fantasy College Hoops: Saturday - Week 17

The Hammer's Thomas Robinson (25pts, 14reb, 2ast, 1stl) nearly blew the roof off Allen Fieldhouse in his de facto Senior Night against Texas. Robinson scored 18 points after halftime and notched his 22nd double-double of the season. Unfortunately, his 42+ point night outscored the combined efforts of Missouri's Marcus Denmon (17pts, 3reb, 2ast, 2stl), Connecticut's Andre Drummond (7pts, 5reb, 4blk, 1stl) and Seton Hall's Fuquan Edwin (7pts, 8reb, 2stl).

I may have spoken too soon yesterday, crowning The Phoggy Doggs as league champs. Boiler Up, Hammer Down got a superhuman effort from Marquette's Jae Crowder (26pts, 14reb, 3ast, 1blk, 5stl) against Georgetown, posting nearly 55 fantasy points. But after disappointing showings from Seton Hall's Herb Pope (16pts, 5reb, 2blk) and Washington's Terrence Ross (18pts, 4reb, 4stl), he'd have to settle for runner-up this season.

Alabama's JaMychal Green (11pts, 13reb, 2ast, 3blk, 1stl) made the most of his final game for McDonnell's All-Americans. Right now, it appears the rookie owner has a firm grasp of 5th place.

Sutton & Sons Saloon and Pharmacy's backcourt duo of Texas' J'Covan Brown (33pts, 5reb, 3ast) and North Carolina's Kendall Marshall (20pts, 4reb, 10ast, 1stl) did everything they could to drag their owner out of the league's cellar. But right now, it appears that's exactly where they will finish.

Fantasy College Hoops: Thursday - Week 17

Thursday night was the icing on the cake for The Phoggy Doggs. After losing 60-63 on a 3-pointer with 0.8 seconds left to Florida State, Senior Night didn't go according to plan inside John Paul Jones Arena. But Virginia's Mike Scott (28pts, 10reb, 1ast, 1blk, 1stl) went out in style and likely locked up the league championship for The Phoggy Doggs.

Oregon State's Jared Cunningham (17pts, 2reb, 6ast, 2stl) breathed some life into Boiler Up, Hammer Down. It will take some superhuman performances over the weekend to mount a comeback. But I'm not comfortable counting this veteran owner just yet.

Things aren't looking so bright for Nosotros Creemos. Colorado's Andre Roberson (12pts, 8reb, 2ast, 3blk), Rutgers' Dane Miller (16pts, 9reb, 1ast, 1stl) and Villanova's Mouphtaou Yarou (10pts, 11reb, 1blk) were a collective good but not great. With just one player remaining, fourth place looks like a near certainty.
