Fantasy College Hoops: Elite 8 - Sunday

A pair of Carolina schools punched their tickets to the Final 4 in Phoenix on Sunday. In the opener, 7-seed South Carolina continued their magical run with a 77-70 win over SEC foe Florida. The Gamecocks will advance to face Gonzaga.

The finale featured a blueblood rematch between North Carolina and Kentucky. The Tar Heels' Kennedy Meeks (7pts, 17reb, 2ast, 1stl, 4blk) ripped down a career-high 17 rebounds. Experience trumped youth, and Roy's Boys are looking to improve on last year's runner-up finish. Kentucky's elimination puts The Hammer's 13-point lead in serious jeopardy. Commish and Make Jim Nantz Great Again are both looking to make a final push for the league title.

Here's a look at the current standings, and the statistics and scoreboard through the Elite 8.

Fantasy College Hoops: Elite 8 - Saturday

Gonzaga's Nigel Williams-Goss (23pts, 8reb, 4ast, 2stl, 1blk) guided the Bulldogs to their first Final 4 in school history on Saturday. Although he's struggled with his shot (19-for-61 or 31%) during the NCAA tourney, Williams-Goss sunk four 3-pointers in the Zags' 83-59 runaway victory over Xavier.

Rosters across the league took a hit when Kansas, the top seed in the Midwest, fell 60-74 to Oregon in Kansas City. The league title now appears to be a 3-horse race between The Hammer (1st), Commish (2nd) and Make Jim Nantz Great Again (3rd). And all three have players in tomorrow's matchup in the South between North Carolina and Kentucky. We'll see who survives and takes one step closer to a championship.

Here's a look at the current standings, as well as the statistics and scoreboard for the Elite 8.

Fantasy College Hoops: Sweet 16 - Friday

It was a mixed bag for The Hammer, who sits atop the league standings after Friday's games. His five players averaged 28+ during the Sweet 16. Only Kentucky's De'Aaron Fox (39pts, 3reb, 4ast, 2stl) advanced to the Elite 8. But if you are down to one player, Fox would certainly be his top choice after his performance in Kentucky's 86-75 revenge win over UCLA. Despite not making a 3-pointer, the freshman point guard scored 39 points, while going 13-for-15 from the charity stripe.

Fantasy College Hoops: Thursday - Sweet 16

On Thursday night, Kansas' Frank Mason (26pts, 7reb, 7ast, 1stl), Josh Jackson (15pts, 12reb, 2ast, 4stl, 1blk) and Devonte Graham (26pts, 2ast, 1stl) managed to outscore Purdue 67-66 all by themselves. The Jayhawks' backcourt trio combined to shoot a sizzling 22-for-39 (56%) from the floor and buried eleven 3-pointers en route to a dominating 32-point victory.

Thursday also marked the final game for Purdue's Caleb Swanigan (18pts, 7reb, 4ast, 1stl), who surprisingly failed to double-double in nearly a month. The Hammer (2nd), Make Jim Nantz Great Again (3rd) and Thanks Obama (4th) now have golden opportunities to slice into Commish's lead before the action heads to Phoenix next week.

Fantasy College Hoops: Sunday - Round of 32

For the second day in a row, the last game also featured its top performer. UCLA's Lonzo Ball (18pts, 7reb, 9ast, 2stl) stayed patient against Cincinnati's traditionally disruptive defense and tied a career-high with four 3-pointers. After securing a 79-67 win, the stage is set for a monster rematch with Kentucky in the Sweet 16.

Over 25% (8-for-31) of the players in action on Sunday were eliminated after a pair of two seeds (Duke, Louisville) fell to seven seeds (South Carolina, Michigan). The landscape has certainly changed after a nearly flawless Round of 64. While no one is effectively eliminated, there are some serious uphill battles for the league's bottom half: Locker Room Talk (5th), Joe "Crazy Legs" Conaghan (6th), Huggy & The Miracles (7th) and Famous Amos (8th).

Here's a look at the scoreboard for the Round of 32 and the current league standings.

Fantasy College Hoops: Saturday - Round of 32

After a relatively uneventful Round of 64, Saturday's games were full of surprises. None bigger than Wisconsin knocking off the #1 overall seed and defending champion Villanova Wildcats. By pulling the upset, Wisconsin's Ethan Happ (12pts, 8reb, 3ast, 2blk, 2stl) eliminated Jay Wright and a quartet of Wildcats. Jalen Brunson (11pts, 2reb, 1ast, 2stl), Kris Jenkins (6pts, 2reb, 1ast, 1stl), Josh Hart (19pts, 3reb, 1stl) and Mikal Bridges (7reb) shot a combined 12-for-33 from the floor and 1-for-11 from behind the arc. The Hammer is now playing with house money, as Happ was the lone Badger drafted.

Saturday's final game featured its top performer, Caleb Swanigan (20pts, 12reb, 7ast, 1blk, 1stl) in Purdue's 80-76 victory over Iowa State. The super sophomore has posted 44+ in each of the first two rounds and now has a date in the Sweet 16 against Sunday's Kansas-Michigan State winner.

Here's a look at the scoreboard for the Round of 32 and current league standings heading into Sunday's games.

Fantasy College Hoops: Preview - Round of 32

The league's top three performers in the opening round were all somewhat draft gambles with huge payoffs. Michigan's Derrick Walton (#40 - The Hammer), Purdue's Caleb Swanigan (#18 - Commish) and Florida State's Jonathan Isaac (#24 - Famous Amos) will all get a chance to build on their fast starts and reserve a spot in the Sweet 16. If that comes true, then the risk will have definitely been worth it for these three. After all, survive and advance is the name of the game!

Here are the lines for games involving head coaches in the Round of 32. Be aware there may be line movement between now and tip-off, so pay attention to where it ends up for any fantasy scoring implications.

Fantasy College Hoops: Friday - Round of 64

Arguably the biggest gamble of the draft, Michigan's Derrick Walton (26pts, 5reb, 11ast, 2stl, 1blk) paid huge dividends (51+) for The Hammer on Friday. Walton buried six of Michigan's school-record 16 3-pointers in a 92-91 victory over Oklahoma State. After winning four games in four days to claim the Big Ten Conference Championship last week, the Wolverines will face Louisville in the Round of 32 - a rematch of the 2013 National Championship.

Duke's Jayson Tatum (18pts, 12reb, 1ast, 4stl, 4blk) is playing his best at the right time. The freshman from St. Louis averaged 22 points and 7.5 rebounds during Duke's 4-game run to an ACC title. On Friday, Tatum recorded his third double-double on the season. The Blue Devils marched past Troy 87-65 in the opening round and will face South Carolina in the Round of 32.

Fantasy College Hoops: Thursday - Round of 64

There weren't a ton of noteworthy performances on the opening day of the NCAA tournament. But no players were eliminated either, which is a victory in its own right.

Purdue's Caleb Swanigan (16pts, 14reb, 4ast, 3blk) nearly had a double-double by halftime. Thursday's top performer led the Boilermakers past a pesky Vermont team. They now advance to play Iowa State on Saturday with a Sweet 16 berth in Kansas City on the line.

Florida State's Jonathan Isaac (17pts, 10reb, 5ast, 2stl, 3blk) was the only other player with a 40+ performance. No other player managed to break 30+. Isaac did a little bit of everything for the Seminoles, who survived upset-minded Florida Gulf Coast with an 86-80 win.

We'll see how Friday's games shake out, and who will take an early lead into the Round of 32 over the weekend.
