Well it wasn't pretty for The Hammer - it rarely is when your team plays Florida St. But survive and advance is the name of the game in the second weekend of March Madness. Michigan's
Moritz Wagner (12pts, 6reb, 1ast, 2stl) and
Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman (9pts, 4reb, 2ast, 1blk) shot a combined 6-for-20 from the floor and 2-for-11 from behind the arc. None of that matters now, as the Wolverines emerge from the West Region after a 58-54 victory over #9 Florida St.
The Hammer still faces quite a deficit in the standings, but live to play another day. The odds are certainly stacked against them. But I think we can all agree that crazier things have happened in this tournament already.
