ESPN's 15th annual
Rivalry Week kicked off with the Border War on Monday night. This early marquee matchup featured
Bill Self and #2 Kansas (-11) against #20 Missouri. It was a seesaw battle in the first half, but the Jayhawks held a 46-42 halftime advantage. Thanks to a strong performance from the Jayhawk bench (36 points) plus a lack of defensive intensity from both sides, and Kansas was able to
break the century mark for the first time since their season opener against Longwood. The Hammer's
Marcus Morris (22pts, 8reb, 3ast) and WGP's
Markieff Morris (16pts, 7reb, 4ast, 3blk) led the way as 57 second-half points helped secure a Jayhawk victory over their bitter rivals.
Here's a look at the current
scoreboard.
