Fantasy College Hoops: Wednesday - Week 14
During Rivalry Week, ESPN should go by Eastern Sports Propaganda Network, because everything revolves around the Duke/North Carolina matchup. Despite the hostile territory, the Tar Heels owned a commanding 43-29 advantage at halftime. But Roy's boys showed their youth, as the Blue Devils outscored them 50-30 in the second half. In the Game of the Week, Paul Rudd > Ashley Judd's Kyle Singler (10pts, 8reb, 2ast) picked an awful spot to go 3-for-17 from the floor. Fellow Dukie senior, Boilers' Nolan Smith (34pts, 2reb, 3ast, 1stl), has scored 20+ in 12 of Duke's last 15 games. On bright spot for North Carolina was the play of Sutton & Sons' Tyler Zeller (24pts, 13reb, 1blk), ripping down a career-high 13 rebounds.
But make no mistake, Wednesday night belonged to a "peaking at the right time" Gordon Bombay squad. Double-doubles from Wisconsin's Jon Leuer (19pts, 15reb, 4ast, 1blk, 1stl) and Villanova's Corey Fisher (23pts, 1reb, 10ast, 5stl) gave Gordon Bombay 88+ fantasy points combined.
Here's a look at the current scoreboard.
