#1 Crimson & Bluebloods vs. #8 Neenan's Warriors

The last team in the playoffs was giving top-seeded Crimson & Bluebloods all they could handle. The commish knew that Thursday's games would be critical in order to reserve a spot in the finals. Though scoring has been sparse over the past few weeks, Crimson & Bluebloods rose to the occasion. Penn State's Talor Battle (28pts, 2reb, 1ast) and Minnesota's Blake Hoffarber (18pts, 2reb, 7ast) went head-to-head in Happy Valley. The opposing point guards combined to shoot 13-for-27 from behind the arc. But the most damage was done by a pair of frontcourt beasts... Derrick Williams (26pts, 8reb, 2ast, 1blk, 1stl) currently leads the nation in field goal percentage (64.0) and free throw attempts (9.2). Against Washington State, he went 7-for-10 from the floor and 12-for-12 from the charity stripe. His team-high 26 points helped a surging Arizona squad fend off the Cougars 79-70. But the commish saved his best for last... as a monster double-double from reserve Matt Bryan-Amaning (22pts, 12reb, 3ast, 4blk) turned the tables on Neenan's Warriors.

#2 Gordon Bombay vs. #7 Nosotros Creemos
Round 3 of the Sinovic Bowl a rubber match with family bragging rights at stake. But it's also shaping up to be an instant classic. The only players on Thursday were Northwestern's John Shurna (15pts, 2reb, 1ast, 2blk, 1stl) and Washington's Isaiah Thomas (11pts, 4reb, 6ast). While neither one lit up the scoreboard, you have to think the longer Nosotros Creemos can hang around, the more this squad will start to believe they can pull off the upset.

#3 The Hammer vs. #6 Paul Rudd > Ashley Judd
The Hammer had to be patient, but his big guns came through on Thursday. Southern Cal's Nikola Vucevic (21pts, 10reb, 2ast, 1blk, 1stl) and Providence's Marshon Brooks (28pts, 7reb, 2ast, 1blk, 3stl) have built a safe lead heading into the weekend. As for Paul Rudd > Ashley Judd, they simply never recovered from their dreadful start to the week. UCLA's Reeves Nelson (18pts, 7reb, 3ast) had a decent game against Stanford. But it's safe to say that this one is over...

#4 Boilers vs. #5 The Iron Men
The only player from this one was Minnesota's Trevor Mbakwe (16pts, 12reb, 2ast), delivering a much needed double-double for Boilers. This matchup is coming down to the wire... with only a few players left on each side, a spot in the finals will be truly up for grabs during the weekend.

Here's a look at the current scoreboard and playoff bracket.
