Fantasy March Madness: Friday - Round 1
Friday's games meant the field of 64 would be sliced in half at the end of the day. No one made out better than league newcomer Big Cat. His 1st and 2nd rounders both posted double-doubles: #1 Duke's Kyle Singler (22pts, 10reb, 1ast) and #2 West Virginia's Devin Ebanks (16pts, 13reb, 2blk) cruised in opening round victories over #16 Arkansas-Pine Bluff and #15 Morgan State.
Crimson & Bluebloods got a monster game out of #3 Xavier's Jordan Crawford (28pts, 6reb, 5ast, 1blk, 2stl) against #11 Minnesota. Though he is probably better known for dunking on LeBron James over the summer, Crawford wowed the crowd in Milwaukee with a gorgeous scoop to the hoop.
Although he lost two players from Thursday's games, Boilers got Friday's high score from one of his own: #4 Purdue's JaJuan Johnson (23pts, 15reb, 2ast, 3blk, 1stl) led the sans Hummel Boilermakers with an "us against the world" attitude versus upset-minded #13 Siena.
Here's a look at the current scoreboard.
