Fantasy College Hoops: Monday - Week 4

(AP Photo/Eugene Tanner)
Week 4 represented a chance for The Hammer to redeem himself after his Week 2 debacle against Boiler Up, Hammer Down in the Game of the Week. Unfortunately, things got off to an inauspicious start.

Tennessee's Trae Golden (12pts, 2reb, 1ast) committed three turnovers before fouling out in just 27 minutes played against Oakland. That makes consecutive years the Volunteers have fallen victim to the Golden Grizzlies.

Always the opportunist, Boiler Up, Hammer Down ribbed The Hammer about Golden's performance on Monday. The Hammer's response: "Yeah, do you want Golden? I'd be willing to trade him for a handful of these." Well, it's far too early to throw in the towel, but The Hammer's confidence is clearly shaken.

After learning that Minnesota's Trevor Mbakwe, the franchise cornerstone, was lost for the season with a torn ACL, Nosotros Creemos was forced to pick up the pieces and move on. Fortunately, West Virginia's Kevin Jones (18pts, 12reb, 2ast, 2blk, 2stl) posted his third straight double-double, and has yet to score less than 30 fantasy points this season.

Florida's Erving Walker (21pts, 3reb, 6ast, 1stl) quietly strung together consecutive 30+ outings for Ad astra per aspera. Walker's freshman teammate Brad Beal (22pts, 10reb, 3ast, 3blk) is turning some heads with back-to-back double-doubles for Tom Selleck's doppelgänger. The Gators' 96-70 win over Stetson marked Billy Donovan's 400th career victory.

Here's a look at the current scoreboard.
