Fantasy College Hoops: Saturday - Week 3

John Calipari and his band of bluechip freshmen (Marquis Teague, Anthony Davis pictured above) are on the cusp of becoming the #1 team in the nation.
As expected, Week 3's Game of the Week came right down to the wire. Needing 28 points for a victory, Gordon Bombay turned to Kentucky's Marquis Teague (14pts, 1reb, 8ast, 4stl) against Portland. While the freshman point guard only shot 4-for-12 from the floor, he dished out a career-high eight assists without committing a turnover in 34 minutes. Considering Teague had just 12 assists compared to 17 turnovers in his first four games, Gordon Bombay had to be pleased with his production on Saturday. But in the end, he fell just inches short from a victory over The Phoggy Doggs.

Fellow Kentucky freshman Anthony Davis (13pts, 12reb, 1ast, 4blk, 2stl) was Saturday's high scorer. After Davis posted his first collegiate double-double, Tom Selleck's doppelgänger improved to 2-1 after securing a victory over Chocolate Thunder in Week 3.

Boiler Up, Hammer Down showed a nice killer instinct, brushing aside Ad astra per aspera yesterday. Seton Hall's Herb Pope (16pts, 14reb, 2ast, 1blk) became second starter to double-double for Boiler Up, Hammer Down, who remains undefeated on the year

Here's a look at the current scoreboard.
