Fantasy College Hoops: Friday - Week 4

I doubt he was leading any M-I-Z chants inside Mizzou Arena, but I have a feeling The Hammer found a way to swallow his pride and cheer on Marcus Denmon on Friday night.
Unfortunately, the Game of the Week is basically over before the weekend got here. Although I'm sure The Hammer doesn't mind. Marcus Denmon (31pts, 6reb, 2ast, 1stl) poured in a career-high 31 points, including seven 3-pointers, in #13 Missouri's 90-56 cakewalk past Northwestern State. The Tigers improved to 7-0 on the season, winning by an average of 28 points.

The struggles continued for McDonnell's All-Americans... After missing out on a 25-point, 8-rebound game on Tuesday, Northwestern's John Shurna (9pts, 3reb, 2ast, 1blk) was hardly needed last night, logging only 11 minutes against Mississippi Valley State, a team ranked #289 according to kenpom.com.

Friday's top performer was Seton Hall's Herb Pope (23pts, 12reb, 2ast, 3blk, 3stl) of Boiler Up, Hammer Down. Despite a relatively lackluster matchup from the Big East/SEC challenge, Pope was a human-highlight reel against Auburn... which thankfully, didn't include something like this. After a roller-coaster year that included a near brush with death, Pope spent this past summer refocusing his mind and body for his senior season. If Boiler Up, Hammer Down (3-0) can run a tight ship and keep Pope's head on straight, this squad is looking dangerous.

Here's a look at the current scoreboard.
