Last week's Player of the Week, Virginia's Mike Scott (17pts, 6reb, 2ast) was extremely productive with only 15 minutes of court time. Scott was hardly needed in the #24 Cavaliers 69-42 drubbing of Maryland-Eastern Shore.
Boiler Up, Hammer Down also had one player in action on Tuesday. Providence's Vincent Council (11pts, 4ast, 1blk, 2stl) committed more turnovers (7) than assists (4) for the first time this season.
But this night unquestionably belonged to Tom Selleck's doppelgänger. Illinois' Meyers Leonard (20pts, 11reb, 1ast, 5blk) in their double-overtime win against Minnesota. And while it's still early, St. John's Moe Harkless (32pts, 13reb, 4ast, 2blk, 4stl) may have already sealed Sutton & Sons Saloon and Pharmacy's fate this week. The freshman phenom (pictured above) now owns the single-game scoring record. Harkless hit 14 of his 17 shots on his way to 32 points, the most ever by a freshman in his Big East debut.
Here's a look at the current scoreboard.
